Precipitation
Rainfall amounts at the project site (Table 1) were compared to
24-hour storm event data for Connecticut (Table 2), compiled by Miller,
et al. (Miller, D.R., Warner, G.S., Ogden, F.L., and DeGaetano, A.T. 2003. Precipitation in Connecticut. Institute of Water Resources, University of Connecticut, Report No. 38). There were five storms greater than the 2 year, 24-hour
storm, and one storm greater than the 5 year, 24-hour storm.
